My first memories of cooking are standing in a chair in front of the stove because I was too little to reach it making scrambled eggs. I was obsessed with my easy bake oven. I laugh as think about how my tastes and preferences have changed over the years. Did I really ever think ground beef with worchestershire sauce served over mashed potatoes was dish to be proud of? Give me a break - I was only 8. These days my family often makes fun of my love for experimentation and interest in nutrition. I laugh at how inconsistent I am. I've been know to sneak beans into muffins and pumpkin into chili or enchiladas. And you can never really be sure after dinner at my house if you've consumed tofu or not. One week it's beans and tofu and the next it's Ben and Jerry's. I've decided to chronicle my love affair with cooking. I'll spare you the ground beef and worchestershire sauce as well as a million other "disasters". Stop by and leave some love or share a recipe of your own.
